Girls on the Run is a life changing learning program for girls grades 3rd – 5th and Girls on Track for grades 6th – 8th. The program is designed to increase physical activity and emotional health by providing girls with the tools they need to make healthy decisions and form healthy self images. The goal is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual, and physical development through curriculum based running/walking activities.
Molly Barker founded the program in 1996 and Girls on the Run now exists in over 200 communities in the U.S. and Canada and over 130,000 girls have completed the program since its inception. To learn more about Molly and the programs history visit www.girlsontherun.org.
